CTS™-XHP is a powder metallurgy, high-carbon, high chromium stainless steel with very good stainless properties at high hardness. It can be heat treated to 64HRc and its fine carbide distribution and fine grained microstructure greatly enhance cutting performance in knife blade applications.
Typical Chemical Composition
- Carbon 1.60%, Silicon 0.40%, Manganese 0.50%, Chromium 16.00%, Molybdenum 0.80, Vanadium 0.45%, Nickel 0.35%.
