This disc features aluminum oxide mineral, which cuts sharp and is friable, fragmenting under heat and pressure to reveal sharp cutting edges during use. Among the four Standard Abrasives™ Buff and Blend materials, HP material is moderately stiff, durable and aggressive, and we recommend starting here for deburring applications. Its non-woven construction responds to contours and extrusions while minimizing gouging or marring of the part.
