The flexible backing enables the abrasive belt to mold well around contoured workpieces, such as punched parts. KK772J also achieves very good results in flat grinding when working with stainless steel and unalloyed steel. VSM COMPACTGRAIN products are coated with a granulate. This granulate is a fixed unit consisting of numerous abrasive grains that are bound to each other (either aluminum oxide or silicon carbide). This combination of grain results in a coarser appearance, in relation to conventional abrasives.
