application – knife sharpening/repairs. Very good value for money, really hogs of steel when doing major repairs. lasts a decent amount of time. It’s a bit hard to quantify as the severity of damaged knives differs. When it wears out a little, still good for doing moderate chip removal and blade profile reshaping. Heats up quite a bit when worn out, even if I have constant water mist on it, so keep a dunk bucket nearby.
