Precision machined from A2 tool steel, Vacuum Heat treated to Rockwell Hardness 60C and powder coated on the exposed areas.This part is much larger than the factory supplied part, and the hardness provides an exponential gain in lifespan of the platen. It is pre-drilled and tapped for the factory Burr King hardware.
