CPM 154 is a powder metallurgy, air hardening, martensitic stainless steel. CPM 154 is a PM version of the popular 154 CM stainless steel. The grade exhibits good toughness, very good wear resistance as well as very good corrosion resistance.
Typical Chemical Composition
Carbon 1.05%, Chromium 14.00%, Molybdenum 4.00%.
I started using CPM154 steel from Tru Grit about a year ago. It’s the best steel I have used. It grinds and polishes perfectly. It has enabled me to produce some very high quality knives.
